Join us this Wednesday for a public forum in Willimantic!

It is clear Puerto Ricans are facing some of the toughest times in our collective history. Families have lost homes, 80% are still without electricity, water is scarce, and many families are leaving the island and coming right here to CT. To meet our challenges the Puerto Rican diaspora has engaged in a solidarity movement that is unprecedented in our history and have come to the point where we must have deeper discussions about longer term solutions and questions like:

What are we going to do to help Puerto Rico recover better than it was before? What must we demand of our Government and our Leaders and how are we going to get it? What types of direct aid and service to communities on the island can we create? What types of support structures are needed here in CT?

All this and more on Wednesday October 25th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Windham CT Town Hall second floor - 979 Mains st. We will be joined by community organizers and others* who have ideas on what are our next steps should be in helping the island recover and modernize it's infrastructure for the 21 century. We will also leave time for questions from the public and an opportunity to work together to find the answers to the questions all of our families are asking.

We hope to see you this Wednesday October 25th at 7pm at Willimantic Town Hall for a lively and important discussion!

Sincerely,
James Flores
